Lollapuzzoola FAQ

Below are some frequently asked questions, and how you can best find answers.

What is Lollapuzzoola?

Lollapuzzoola is a crossword tournament. If you’re on this site and don’t know why, read more about us.

Where are the puzzles?

We have three content areas – practice puzzles, the dress rehearsal (mini tournament to test everything) on Wednesday 8/19, and the actual tournament on Saturday 8/21. The content for Wednesday and Saturday will become available at their respective events.

I’m having issues with logging in and/or accessing content!

TO REGISTER FOR OUR SITE: If you bought a ticket for the tournament, you can register for our website here. You need to register in order to access the puzzle pages.

TO LOG IN TO OUR SITE: If you think you’ve already registered and just need to log in, you can do that here.

If you’ve logged in but still can’t access content, it means that either your login email and your ticket-buying email don’t match, or that you registered so recently that we haven’t added you yet. Either way, you can contact us using this form.

If you’re having browser and interface issues, please read this.

Folks who bought the Next Day Division ticket do not have access to the online puzzles. If you’d like to purchase a tournament ticket instead, please go here.

How does the Pairs Division work?

Each Pair will submit ONE finished grid for scoring. Our technology does not allow for both players to simultaneously type into one grid, so in order to share your work, you’ll need to set up a video chat (Zoom, Skype, whatever you like) and screen share with each other.

One person (Player A) will be responsible for logging into the website, typing into the grid, entering your 8-digit code, and submitting the puzzle. Player B will be able to watch, talk, say things like “No, no! 68-Down is definitely OREO, you have to fix that!”

If you like, both players may log into bemoresmarter.com and view the puzzles, scroll around through the clues, etc. This would allow Player B to read and talk about some clues while Player A is reading other ones. But again, only Player A does the actual typing, and only Player A submits the grid when finished.

Do I need to log into Twitch to watch the broadcast?

No. You only need to log into Twitch if you want to participate in the chat. Twitch is not associated with Lollapuzzoola, so you’ll have to set up a separate login on Twitch. Click here to go to our Twitch stream.
