Over the course of the day, everyone will solve five tournament puzzles. This is followed by three rounds of championship finals, which are presented on oversized crossword-grid-dry-erase-boards, and idea we definitely didn’t steal from the ACPT.
- 9:00-10:00 check in, find a seat, sharpen your pencil, try the warm up puzzles
- 10:00-12:00 Puzzles 1, 2, and 3 (with 10-minute breaks between)
- 12:00-1:20 Lunch — and if you signed up for the pizza social, this happens in the lobby outside the venue
- 1:20-3:300 Puzzles 4 and 5 (with a 10-minute break between)
- 3:00-3:30 Bonus optional game (while final score tabulations are completed)
- 3:30-4:30 Championship finals in this order: Pairs, Local, Express
- 4:30-5:00 Trophies and Applause
We also offer two meta puzzle suites (one crossword, one variety). The deadline for submission is August 30, but you’re welcome to begin work on them during any of the calms between the puzzle storms.
